Real Clean was started in 1999 by Sheryl Hume. Today it's owned and run by her son Todd, alongside Operations Manager Saeed Khan. We have 25 people across Auckland and Waikato. Our top 10 clients have been with us an average of 16 years.
We are large enough to easily handle the requirements of multi-site organisations throughout Auckland and Waikato, yet small enough to be highly responsive. Todd and Saeed personally know every client and every cleaner.

Every site gets monthly quality audits. Scores are tracked over time. If a pattern emerges, we increase audit frequency until it's resolved. We'd rather find problems ourselves than have you find them for us.

Every job is scheduled and tracked through Jobber, so nothing falls through the cracks. Our client portal gives you live visibility into your HPAC scores, performance trends, and feedback history, no chasing emails or waiting for reports.
We use Care4 chemicals, a New Zealand company producing plant-based, biodegradable formulas certified by Eco Choice Aotearoa. No harsh LAS/APOs, low VOCs. For deep sanitisation, we use steam vapour cleaning, which kills bacteria using heat alone, no chemicals required.
We've installed solar at our premises and are adding an EV to the fleet in 2026. We optimise routes to minimise travel. We pre-dilute cleaning agents in reused containers. We repair equipment rather than replace it.
